About

I am the daughter of a woman who has shown me what a servant’s heart looks like. I am the sister of a woman who has shown me what a friend’s hand feels like. I am the wife of a man who has shown me what consistent love is. And I am mama to two children who continue to show me just how big a mother’s heart can be.

And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside the bud was greater than the risk it took to blossom. ~ Anais Nin

  1. Dear Melissa-
i didn’t know where you might want me to comment on your blog, but I thought I would start here. I saw that you “liked” my post today, so I followed your gravatar to here. I almost never do that anymore. I used to do it all the time, because the email is so encouraging. “Author X thought your blog was pretty awesome. You might want to check out theirs.” I always used to and I don’t want to sound snobby, but I never liked theirs! They were rambly, cosmic rants by people who had no sense of writing for an audience, beyond themselves. But I gave it a shot and I am so glad I did. Melissa, I think we would be friends! Looking at your picture, I think we could be sisters! Your freckles, your blonde hair, your blue eyes, your “I wear my face, not my make-up drawer” look, your heart for God, your knowledge that Love Wins!
I’m all done gushing now. I just wanted to say that I am glad I found your blog, a fellow Monkee. I am subscribing tonight. You don’t live anywhere near San Diego, California, do you????
